Laura + Andy

How did you meet?

We met on a night out in Newcastle, and had our first kiss on the dance floor of the Cambridge night club (where all good love stories start haha). He asked me for my number!

When did you know they were the one?

After our very first date – I went home to mum after it and said that was the best date of my life, he is the one!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

– His so caring and patient with me
– his hard working nature
– his beautiful blue eyes

Who proposed and how?

Andy – He took me away for a weekend getaway to Boomerang Beach NSW, and we went for a little afternoon drink and cheese platter by the lake. Which I didn’t think anything of as we love doing that. It was the most perfect afternoon & I went to feel the water and when I returned to the rug he held my hand and got on one knee and said there was something he had to ask me. I immediately started crying, and he proceeded to ask me to marry him and some nice words that I can’t recall because I was in shock. It was the most incredible moment, so natural, perfect and so full of love and emotion. We hugged and cried and laughed and were just in a little love bubble for so long.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

The moment we got engaged the Archie dress popped up on my Instagram feed, and I saved it immediately. Months later I went to your Sydney boutique and it was the first dress I tried on and the one I kept going back to. So I guess you could say it was love at first sight for my dress! I have been obsessed with it since day one. The Archie dress I felt was meant to be, as my Grandad who had recently passed away at the time, had a cat called Archie.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The entire day could not have been more perfect, it was so amazing. But walking down the aisle and seeing my now husband, and saying our own vows to each other was so special and so surreal.

What were your favorite details?

I loved my dress, veil and accessories, my florals, and seeing the colour scheme and styling that I had created, come together.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Don’t stress, enjoy every moment and take it all in. It really does go so quickly and it is such a magical day.
