Kennedie + Nathan

How did you meet?

Nathan and I met in 2009, when we were in grade 9! We’ve been together ever since then. Through years of high school, long distance and career changes- our love for each other surpassed anything that came our way.

When did you know they were the one?

Both of us grew up with our parents are our role models for what marriage and unconditional love looks like. Nathan and I knew from a really young age that we would spend the rest of our lives together!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His patience, his perseverance, and his adoration for me.

Who proposed and how?

Nathan proposed to me in February 2020, with the help of our sweet chocolate lab, Tucker. We went for a walk that morning and Nathan snuck a collar on Tucker with a dog tag that read “He wants to know if you will say yes”. That was the easiest question I ever answered!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I have been in love with Made With Love years prior to even being engaged. The detail and elegance in the dresses is unlike anything else. I tried on the Harlow and my face said it all. I had never felt so beautiful in my entire life.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

It’s really hard to some up our day into one favorite memory. The moment I will never forget is walking down the aisle, surrounded by our most favorite people in the world and exchanging our vows. It was pretty incredible walking down the aisle as “Miss” and leaving as a “Mrs”

What were your favourite details?

Everything was simply amazing. The candy cart, the homemade dog treats, our champagne wall, our lavender toss (during the recession). I handmade and decorated my own wedding cake and it was so fun!

What advice would you tell other brides?

As cliche as it may sound- enjoy every single second. The day goes by just as fast as everyone tells you it will. Right after the ceremony, escape for a few minutes with your partner and reflect on what just happened. Bask in the love and look around the room at all the people there to celebrate the two of you.
