How did you meet?

A friend of ours introduced us during a work meeting several years ago. I work in PR and I was trying to get him to cover a story for me. My husband had a plan all along but we went out a few times as a group and I was none the wiser!

When did you know they were the one?

I had to move back to Canada from London and we met up for dinner right before I left. I had a feeling he might be the one then, but he came out to visit me (his first time flying solo!) and the moment I saw him at the train station I knew.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Funny, can dance, grounds me.

Who proposed and how?

He proposed. We were visiting my family in Dominican Republic and on Christmas Eve after having dinner out he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He told my parents at the start of the trip so they were eagerly waiting!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Georgie v2 was actually the very first dress I saved on Instagram a few weeks after getting engaged. I had a feeling I’d love it even more on so I went with my mother in law to the London studio and it was love at first sight!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Ohh that’s a difficult one as we loved it all. I think the fact that our friend who introduced us performed the ceremony, making it super personal. Also taking a moment for ourselves to see everyone from so many different countries mingling and getting to know one another.

What were your favourite details?

The dried flower clouds, disposable cameras and donuts!

What advice would you tell other brides?

Follow your gut and let your partner help you out, it makes such a difference especially when planning from a dry hire venue.

Our stylists @storiesof_events – mother daughter duo who brought our vision to life in the best way possible. They went above and beyond.
Our photographer @elenapopaphoto who ran up and down between locations, looked after our pups and gave us small but impactful recommendations throughout the day
