Kara + Nick

How did you meet?

We knew of each other growing up in neighbouring country towns. We unofficially saw each other after locking eyes at the Donald Races, but went out separate ways some time after. It was 2019, when we officially got together- we bought a house, welcomed our first baby- then our second, we got engaged 2023 and got hitched 11 months later on March 2, 2024.
We are young, go getters- we struggle to sit still. Our two little ones keep us on our toes and make every single day a dream come true for us both.

When did you know they were the one?

Not long after we became official, together we felt safe and at home.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

My favourite attributes about Nick is the hard work ethic he has, his caring and considerate nature- and most importantly, he’s the best day to our two boys (and future babies of course)!

Who proposed and how?

Nick proposed on our 5th Anniversary in Halls Gap with the two boys at our feet

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I feel in love with my beautiful PIPPA dress before I had even had chance to lock eyes on it in person! I saw it pop up on my “for you” pages, and knew it was something I had to try on!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Honestly, the entire day! It was relaxing, smooth, fun and exciting! We’re a very much relaxed couple, and enjoy having a drink and dance any chance we get. I guess sharing the same last name would have to come pretty close!

What were your favourite details?

My dress! Everything about it, was just unbelievable. It was comfortable, flattering, beautifully fitted- and best part of all, my sleeves! Could not possibly count how many times I was complemented on my dress- it was just divine.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Don’t get caught up in the trends and all that business. Stick to what you like and what’s important to you- that’s what we did, and it couldn’t have been any more perfect!

Any standout vendors?

@kimberlymooremedia was the biggest hype videographer in business I believe- she was just too good at her job!

@jesswhitephotography was also such a lively, fun and friendly person to be around! Both Jess and Kim were angels sent from heaven.

@sean_k_solo_acoustic is your man all in one! He’s acoustic and knows how to get everyone off their seats in less than 30 seconds with all the bangers!

@adorecelebrant- Katherine was simply just incredible. So easy to get along with, she was organised, informative and very encouraging of making the ceremony about what you wanted!
