Jess + Damon

How did you meet?

We met at the RBWH bus stop on our way to university. A mutual friend of ours introduced us at the bus stop and from then we continued to catch up each morning before our uni classes. He even began watching the Bachelor to bond with me on the bus trips.

When did you know they were the one?

I knew that Damon was the one very early on as he was so consistently considerate and always showed me how much he cared about me.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

1. Compassionate nature
2. His thoughtfulness and random acts of kindness towards me
3. Passionate and dedicated

Who proposed and how?

Damon proposed on 29th November 2019 on a private island (Pelorus Island). He had organised a picnic set up, lunch, snorkeling and drinks for us to enjoy after he popped the big question. It was incredibly beautiful and stunning proposal.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with the Harlow V2 dress at the Gold Coast showroom. I had been to one other bridal shop before I went to MWL and found a few dresses that I like features of but there was no 1 dress that I liked. However, when I went to MWL there was 3 dresses that I simply adored. The quality was second to none and styles were absolutely gorgeous. I felt so comfortable and beautiful in my dress that I couldn’t stop thinking about it when I left…as cliché as that sounds.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Our favourite part was getting ready with our respective bridal parties and the anticipation before the big moment of becoming husband and wife!

What were your favourite details?

The little details like our light up letters by Event Letters were a nice touch. I also like the guest favours we created which were little succulents we had grown in our backyard.
