Ali + Michael

How did you meet?

We met at a college fraternity party. Michael claims he saw me from across the room as I was standing in a barn in a fake wooden ship and he came up and told me it looked like I was going to drive the ship into the bar and he couldn’t let me do that.

When did you know they were the one?

I always felt it but then we broke up for a while and I started dating other guys. It really hit me when I used to find myself comparing them to Michael and how Michael was always better than them.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

My favourite attributes are, his drive, dedication, loyalty.

Who proposed and how?

Michael proposed in April 2020 at the start of COVID. He planned a socially distant scavenger hunt that he said was for my birthday coming up and ended with a proposal. Had me going different places around down and calling different friend and family members for clues.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I was never a girl that dreamed about my wedding. Before going dress shopping, I scrolled Pinterest, Instagram, etc to see if there were certain dresses I liked. There was only one dress that I actually loved and kept going back to. It was the MWL Riley. We lived in Tampa and no store had the dress in Crepe. I went to 4 different stores and had two dresses that everyone liked but I knew I needed to try the Riley on before I made a decision. White Magnolia Tampa had it sent from Jacksonville so I could try it on – I went with my SIL on our lunch break and that was it. Bought it then!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Getting to marry Michael. Planning a COVID wedding was no joke, but getting to marry Michael and celebrate with our closest friends and family truly made for the best day.
