Tori + Matthew

How did you meet?

We met on a mountain weekend getaway with friends, one of our mutual friends invited Matt over. After the mountain weekend, about a week went by and I was actually on a date with someone else when I got a text from Matt and he wanted to see me again so I met him out with friends. II cautiously ditched my date and went to meet up with Matt. From that night on we were inseparable! When Matt and I met it was also a very tough time for me, as my mom had passed away about a month prior. He came into my life when I needed him most and is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

When did you know they were the one?

I knew Matt was the one almost immediately! I had never felt so comfortable with someone before! And he makes me laugh daily which is all a girl can ask for!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

My 3 favorite things about Matt are his humor, his kindness, and his unconditional love for not only me but his family and friends. He would do anything for anyone!

Who proposed and how?

Matt proposed, he crashed my girls weekend! My friends planned a winery/mountain getaway about an hour north of where we live. Wewere at the winery getting ready to have lunch when my friends insisted they go outside for pictures first. As they hiked down the hill for pictures by the water, Matt popped out and popped the question! More friends arrived at the winery and when we returned to the cabin that night all of our friends and family were there to celebrate!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with Penny at Lovely Bride in Atlanta, GA. Penny was the second dress I put on! It was funny because I was very against a strapless dress. But I knew immediately! The boning in the corset was everything I dreamed of! And all of the 3D appliqué was a dream. I asked for romantic elegance and it’s exactly what I got!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Before the ceremony and before anyone started arriving Matt and I took a moment sitting in the front row of our ceremony set up. The first chair on my side was a photo of my mom as a memorial chair. I was actually sitting by myself and Matt came to join me. We sat talking and just had a moment to remember those who weren’t with us anymore and how lucky we were to find each other. I truly couldn’t imagine my life without Matt and that was a moment I knew he was always going to be by my side.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Truly listen to heart and make sure every choice you make you put you and your significant other first. A wedding is about the two of you not everyone else. It’s hard to say no, but this is one day you will never forget and you want to love every aspect of it!
