Jenna + Liam

How did you meet?

We met 10 years ago at the only “club” in Swan Hill. We technically didn’t meet that night, I woke up to a friend request the next day from a random guy.. aka my now husband

When did you know they were the one?

When he would drive from Melbourne to Swan Hill to see me (4 hours) even if it was just for a day. And when he would take my shoes and earrings off after a big night out.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His willingness to go above and beyond for anyone, his friendly nature that means he talks to ANYONE, and the little things he does to make me happy every day. He is also so positive which radiates onto me. I said more than 3 but I couldn’t help myself haha.

Who proposed and how?

Liam proposed down at the Williamstown beach while we were walking out fur baby Huey. I had no idea it was coming. It’s funny, I found this heart shape rock and gave it to him and walked off, he replied with “how about this rock?” And I turned around to see him down on one knee with a rock of his own.. my response was “what the f”

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with my dress at the Melbourne boutique, assisted by Bella. It was love at first sight. It was completely opposite to what I had ever imagined myself wearing; I felt both sexy and sweet at the same time.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Having a ball on the dance floor with my family and friends, yet still being able to find myself in moments with Liam where it felt like it was just us, even though we were surrounded by so many people.

What were your favourite details?

Our wedding was low key and paired back, we focused on good food, amazing music and delicious drinks.. and the rest sorted itself out. We wanted a big party rather than a formal wedding.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Just chill! What will be, will be! people only remember great food, music and booze – spend your money on that!

Any standout vendors?

All of them!!!
Natasha Larsen Photography – so down to earth and made us feel so comfortable pretending to be photogenic.
Havana Caravan Bar Geelong – the best crew to work with! Served up the yummiest cocktails and made multiple trips to bottleo for top ups!
Murray Mallee Woodfire Pizza – the best sliders and pizza! They busted their guts working in a woodfire pizza over while it was 30+ degrees outside!
Bang Event Co and Sign Effects Wangaratta for making our scene so super paired back yet stylish.
Wren Florista for being no fuss and a breeze to work with and providing beautiful blooms
