Ingrid + Jack

How did you meet?

We meet through friends that were a couple at the time… myself still in high school, my husband in his first year of his apprenticeship.
13 years later with our 2 year old daughter we got married!

When did you know they were the one?

I felt at home with Jack after only few months. Definitely after him having to be away for work for 3months in the first year of meeting and we grew stronger from there.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Honesty, thoughtfulness and caring nature: willing to help people out.

Who proposed and how?

Jack proposed 4 years ago, while we were travelling around Australia, “living on the road” at sunset after setting up camp looking at the ocean, just north of Broome on Dampier Peninsula.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Sydney Boutique – The Parker gown. As soon as I put it on it felt more “me”, I don’t like a lot of detail. The high heckling suited my style but also with low back something I always wanted.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Seeing Jack’s face at the end of the aisle.
Our first dance was in the rain!
The dancing!
And walking in with everyone there.

What were your favourite details?

Everyone having fun dancing before even dancing was said to be happening.
The vibe was already to get up and dance.
Even with the rain it was an amazing day, it made it more fun.
The romantic rustic feeling of the venue with the fairy lights and drop down lights

What advice would you tell other brides?

Don’t get caught up in the smaller details…it’s about what you really want as a couple, nobody is there for any other reason other than to celebrate you as a couple and your life together. Embrace each moment.
The vendors are there for a reason to support you in your planning…liaise with you and let you know
