Héloïse + Pierre

How did you meet?

We met in 2014, at college. We were studying engineering but neither of us really liked it. We both stopped those classes. I entered a business school and my husband a nursing school, but we never got away from each other.

When did you know they were the one?

Three months after the beginning of our relationship, I had a “tampon accident” that I though was lost, and he helped me, even if it was a very awkward and non-romantic situation, especially so early in the relationship.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

– Caring, attentive to everyone
– Never judging
– Funny

Who proposed and how?

He proposed on march 2021. He planned a trip to Champagne (the region in France) but he kept re-schedule the trip because of the lockdown.
One night, in pyjamas, the government announced that the lockdown will keep going for many more weeks. It was enough waiting for him so he got out of bed, put on pretty clothes and got on one knee.
I had asked my father first a few months before.
We went in Champagne on August 2021 after the end of the lockdown.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with the dress by following « The bridal journey » on Instagram.
Back then, there where no seller in Paris, therefore I was planning to the to Belgium (closer than the sellers in La Rochelle or Marseille), but I got very lucky. On September 2021 you started a partnership with Plume Bridal in Paris! I booked an appointment. I tried only two dressed, the one and only Archie, my dream dress, and Lottie V2 to make the saleswoman happy. At the end of this fitting I bought the dress, I didn’t need to check any other dresses from any other designer.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The best moment was our first dance. We worked hard for it (I dance but not Latin dances and my husband did not know how to dance). We took many classes. The big day, we enjoyed every minute of it, and all the guests said that it was like Dancing with the Stars the TV show.

What were your favourite details?

My favorite details was the buttons of the Archie dress.

What advice would you tell other brides?

I would tell them to listen to themselves when choosing anything but their wedding, and don’t accept unacceptable demands from family or anybody else.
