Hannah + Nathan

How did you meet?

We met at work, on my very first day. I was a flight attendant at the time, and Nathan was a pilot. We saw each other from across the room, and the rest is history. Now we are both pilots, and we are able to work together!

When did you know they were the one?

Nath is just such a genuinely good person. As we got to know each other, I soon realised that the ‘best self’ version of Nath that I saw in our first few months of dating, is actually just the person that he is. I got to learn and understand his character, and I just knew he was my forever person!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Nath is genuinely kind to everybody he meets. He makes such an effort to talk to people and ask them thoughtful questions in an effort to get to know them better. He makes everybody feel seen and heard, and I think this is such a special quality!

He is very thoughtful, and constantly does little things to make my life easier. Whether it’s getting up at 3am to drive me to work just to save me a little bit of time, or leaving me little notes around the house, he does lovely things for me every single day.

Nath has incredible family values, he is honest, trustworthy, and loyal. He really is the best person I’ve ever met!

Who proposed and how?

Nath proposed in one of our favourite spots, Mount Macedon at sunset. It was my birthday weekend, and we had plans with friends and family over the next couple of days, so it was a really special weekend celebrating with everyone.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I found my dress at Made With Love in Melbourne. I had my mum, Diane, and best friend/maid of honour, Kate with me to help me choose.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

I loved walking down the aisle with my dad, and seeing Nathan for the first time that day. It was a really lovely moment!

What were your favourite details?

I loved the 4.6km of fairy lights on the roof at our venue, the saxophone player, and our custom sign.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Don’t get too caught up in having a plan for the day, just let it happen and remember what the day is really about!

Any standout vendors?

Our acoustic guitarist, Damian Marshall. His music was incredible! He played for 2 hours, and when our DJ’s mixer broke, Damian lent him his mixer. He stayed for an extra couple of hours, just to make sure our day wasn’t disrupted! We couldn’t speak more highly of Damian. @Damianmarshallmusicinsta
