Hailey + Guerino

How did you meet?

My Hubby and I met at his cousins wedding! I was a bridesmaid and had been friends with her for years but we had never met before. Around the time of the wedding he was hanging out with her older brother lots and came to all the pre- and post wedding festivities.

When did you know they were the one?

I knew he was the one when I was driving home from our first date. He had invited me over for some homemade wine. We hit it off and on the drive home I called my friend and said “this it is!”

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He is the kindest person I know
He always strives to better himself, which makes me want to better myself
We have vowed everyday to make each other laugh and without a doubt he always brings a smile to my face

Who proposed and how?

For my 30th birthday, he surprised me with a trip to my dream destination, Iceland. On our second night there, he had booked a Northern Lights Cruise. On the top deck of the boat we sat waiting to see some lights but there were too many clouds. When the boat started heading back to shore, he got down on one knee and proposed!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with Harlie at Elliot and Olivia in North Bay, just a few hours from where I live. Before trying on dresses there I described to my mom the type of dress I wanted (lace, sparkle, fitted, straps). When I tried on Harlie, it fit like a glove and the train was a show stopper. I knew this was the dress for me

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The best moment of the wedding was right after I walked down the aisle and got to sit with my hubby and hold his hand. It felt surreal after countless postponements that we were finally going to be married. The ceremony was such a special part of the day.
