How did you meet?

Josh and I met in high school, although it wasn’t until years later that he won me over on a movie date!

When did you know they were the one?

I don’t think there was an exact moment.. it was really more of a feeling that sparked quickly! Every time Josh and I were together in the early days of our relationship I would catch myself in absolute awe of him (and I still do now!). The way he can make me laugh and the way he shows his love.. I’ve never felt more comfortable or more myself than when I’m with Josh. I could just really feel it.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

I love Josh’s laugh, his ability to light up a room and his kindness.

Who proposed and how?

Josh popped the question on our holiday to the Maldives in 2019. We had woken up early on our first morning there (thanks jet lag) and decided to sit out on our deck and watch the sunrise.
Josh had made me a cup of tea and cut some fruit. The sunrise was absolutely stunning. Josh had asked me to stand looking out towards the view so that he could take a photo, so i did! (The photo was actually taken and I love looking at it knowing the moments that followed!) Josh had said that the only thing that would make that moment better was to be standing there with his fiancé. I turned around to see a bent knee and a sparkling ring – very similar to the many photos I had been sending daily for the few months prior – which i was very quick to take out of the box myself and place on my own finger, totally steeling his moment!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I’ve been a huge fan of MWL for years! I love the sleek, modern look and timeless simplicity of the dresses. When the wedding planning began my mood board started with the MWL Archie dress. I fell in love with Archie after seeing it all over my Instagram feed and I knew this was the style that I would feel most confident and beautiful in. There is only 1 stockist in my area which made the process very easy – I went to Adelaide Bridal Collective and tried on only a few dresses. I tried on Archie and found that it didn’t sit on my body like I had imagined. My wonderful stylist suggested I try on Jordann and that was the one! The more delicate straps of Jordann complimented my petite frame while I was able to keep the same sleek, modern look.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

There are so many! I loved having our daughter a part of our day, seeing the look on my groom’s face as I walked down the aisle, seeing all of our loved ones sharing our excitement as we entered our reception… and the food! The food was amazing thanks to The Lane Vineyard!

What were your favourite details?

Of course my dress, my stunning veil by Kate Georgia, my daughters Chloe and Amelie dress, our amazing cake, our rings!

What advice would you tell other brides?

Try your best to go with the flow and enjoy the process! It can be so easy to get stressed and overwhelmed in the planning of the day. Focus on what’s most important to you and trust that the rest will work out exactly as it should.
