How did you meet?

We met quite young through mutual friends just before my family and I were about to relocate from Tasmania to Queensland. A few years later I returned to Tassie on a family trip where we re-connected and ended up dating.

When did you know they were the one?

When Kirt said he was going to move to Queensland so we didn’t have to do long distance anymore. Since then we’ve never lived apart!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His calm & grounding nature, smile and eyes.

Who proposed and how?

Kirt proposed when we were on holiday in Aruba with my parents. We booked a horse riding tour which followed the coastline. We reached the beach where we got off the horses for a brief moment and when I turned around he was on one knee.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Early on I found a dress at a store in Brisbane which I was pairing with a MWL sample tulle overskirt but since that visit I looked into the Made With Love brand on Instagram and fell in love. As it was only a couple of months before the wedding and I was still dreaming about wearing one of these dresses I quickly found a local store in Mackay who stocked MWL where I found my dress!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Marrying my best friend and seeing all of our loved ones dance together the entire night!

What were your favorite details?

I loved our ceremony florals! We had two different sized gold stands with the most gorgeous floral arrangements and I loved our wedding cocktail favours from 3foxes.

What advice would you tell other brides?

In the lead up… Don’t lose sight on what the day is about for you and your partner.
On the day… Allow yourself to be in the moment so you can soak it all in and enjoy.

Any standout vendors?

Our videographer Taylor from Moon & Back was fantastic! He was so amazing to deal with and captured everything without you noticing him being there.
Tyler Hudson was also a standout for us! He was our musician & MC. He created the perfect atmosphere for our guests and was so professional to work with.

Last standout vendor was my MUA, Fernando Hervas. He did such an incredible job with all our makeup and was so organised. He has such a wonderful, caring nature which made the morning feel very relaxed and was very sweet with our flower girls making sure they felt included with some gloss!
