Elisha + Tim
How did you meet?
Tim and I met when I had just moved back from spending a couple of years in Canada. We started chatting on Instagram and after a few days he asked me out to dinner. I already had plans with friends that night so I originally declined. My plans ended up falling through on the day so we caught up for a drink. As soon as I arrived and Tim greeted me he actually took my breath away. I wasn’t expecting to feel such intense emotions towards him but he was everything I had been waiting for.
When did you know they were the one?
I knew he was the one after a stroll along the beach we just sat on the sand and he scooped me up into his arms and it just felt like home.
What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?
He is so thoughtful, very affectionate and a go getter.
Who proposed and how?
Tim took me away to noosa for my birthday. We stayed in a penthouse on the beachfront which had a rooftop balcony. He had organized a late dinner so we could go up on the rooftop beforehand and watch the sunset. I was almost ready so Tim said he would meet me up there. He went out in the kitchen area and grabbed some champagne and a ice bucket and took it upstairs to go on the table. When I walked up I spotted the cute champagne set up on the table and instantly went over to grab the bottle out. Tim grabbed my hand and got down on his knee and asked me to marry him.
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
I had spotted my dress on your Instagram page before I was engaged. I saved it to an album for when I needed to look. I’d often go on the photo as I admired the back of the dress. Once it was time to find a dress I knew I couldn’t try on any other dress before the Harlow so I booked in at the Gold Coast show room first. As soon as I put it on I just felt amazing, the details on the dress are stunning.
What was the best moment for you at your wedding?
Seeing Tim’s face as the chapel doors opened
What were your favourite details?
The straps, belt, how the dress glistens when the light hits.
What advice would you tell other brides?
Relax on the day and try to take in every moment because it goes so fast.
