How did you meet?

High-school sweethearts! We first met at an 18th birthday party – both very drunk, a lot of flirting, added each other on Facebook and the rest is history!

When did you know they were the one?

When Jake first went away to University and I was still at home, in college – I missed him so much, it felt like I was missing a part of me. I knew from then on, he was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Caring, driven and he makes me feel safe and secure!

Who proposed and how?

Jake proposed when we went away to celebrate our 10 year anniversary at the New Forest.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I instantly fell in love with Louie when I saw her on Instagram, and instantly booked an appointment at the London Boutique! I fell in love with the intricate petals all over the dress, it was like nothing I had ever seen before. I tried on Louie Flowy first, and then I tried on the fitted Louie and I must admit I was very torn! But then we added the flowy sheer skirt over the top and then I just fell in love all over again, it was everything I had dreamed of. With the added accessory of the overskirt, I felt like I had the best of both worlds! We also added some extra 3D petals to the overskirt so that it blended in with the rest of the dress.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

A hard one to choose from! Firstly was when Jake and I had 10 mins alone together straight after our ceremony, where we toasted with a glass of champagne and we were just in our own little wedding bubble for a while (before the celebrations continued!). Secondly was our first dance, outside in the courtyard, fairy lights, sparklers and all our guests singing along with us – I felt so thankful to all our nearest and dearest for travelling all the way to France to celebrate our special day with us. It meant the world that everyone made the effort to travel and be a part of our day!

What were your favourite details?

Another hard one to choose! Our venue and styling was just everything we dreamt of and more, it was our little French fairytale. The styling, decorations, flowers that the venue created and put together for us, was just perfect.

Any standout vendors?

Our photographer and videographer – Louise Griffin and Nick Malone – they both captured our day so perfectly, and they were so much fun, they just fitted in with all out guests.
Our venue, Chateau de Lartigolle – they went above and beyond for us and we cannot thank them enough for putting together our dream wedding. They did everything for us and more! We literally just had to turn up!!
