Christina + Christopher

How did you meet?

Christopher and I met out in New York City, with no mutual friends or anything! I went up to get a drink and saw him waiting for one as well. So we started chatting, shared a drink together and the rest is history.

When did you know they were the one?

It may sound cliche, but from the moment I met Christopher I felt like I had known him my entire life. He made me feel safe and calm and I knew he was meant to be in my life forever.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

I love his patience, his intelligence and his loyalty. He’s just someone who you feel honored to have in your life.

Who proposed and how?

Christopher proposed on a trip to Kauai Hawaii with some of my lifelong best friends! He even set up a GoPro to capture the whole thing and a random beach-goer took drone footage from above, it was magical.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I’ll say what everyone has told me the second I show pictures of me in Tilly – this dress was made for me. I had somewhat of a stressful dress experience. I bought a dress that I thought was the one but was later told that the major alteration I wanted to do wasn’t possible, so I went back to photo’s I favorited of dresses when I first started looking and Tilly was the very first one. I was lucky that there was one 30 minutes from my home in California and I knew it was the one the second I put it on.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Hearing and seeing all of my friends and family so emotional and present during our wedding ceremony – it was truly something special. I have never felt such strong love and support from every person that means something to me all at once. I will never forget that feeling.

What were your favourite details?

So many things! I loved our rose petal toss to end the ceremony, I loved our neon sign & greenery wall, I loved the vineyards at our venue with the most incredible sunset. It was such an amazing feeling to see all of the wedding planning come together and give all of my guests an amazing night.

What advice would you tell other brides?

You will never regret having a wedding. As stressful as it may be throughout planning, don’t doubt the decisions you’ve made or the things that you really wanted from the start because this will absolutely be one of the best days of your life and the hard work pays off!

Any standout vendors?

All of my vendors were absolutely incredible and went above and beyond for us! But I will say, when I saw the sneak peak pictures (sent to us at 1am the night of our wedding) I was absolutely blown away. Our photographer captured the most breathtaking photos that I will cherish forever.
