When did you know they were the one?

Hanging out with my now husband one day, he turned to me out of the blue and said something like ‘so is this relationship just really easy with us or what? Am I missing something? It’s so easy’. I knew then that we had something special because he was right.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He is kind, caring and always present in your company.

Who proposed and how?

He did – We were walking along the beach with our dog Lucy, tossing her the ball every now and then and watching as she chased it. All of a sudden Matt ran ahead of me, around a bend on the beach and out of sight with Lucy. This wasn’t unusual, so I didn’t think anything of it.
When Matt and Lucy ran back towards me, I noticed a flash of something white around Lucy’s collar and said to Matt ‘what’s that on Lucy?!’. Before I had time to comprehend anything more, Matt was wrapping me into a hug, bent down on one knee then very, very quickly came back up again and asked me to marry him! It was only afterwards that I realised that the flash of white was a bandana with the words ‘will you marry my dad’ on it.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with my dress the first time I put it on at the Sydney boutique. The beautiful Remi fit like a glove and made me feel so confident and special. I just loved it.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

There’s no one moment – the whole day was an epic and romantic adventure that I will cherish forever. The vibe for the whole day was just so full of love and energy!

What were your favourite details?

The flowers, the views, the music, the photos! All complementing each other to create a magic vibe.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Being organised is key, but when the day roles around just enjoy it – soak up every minute.
