How did you meet?

We originally met at a house party when we were at school, which is actually when we had our first kiss. We then went off onto our own life journeys and met again in a bar nearly 10 years later. James was very persistent and wouldn’t stop until I agreed to a date…which I said yes to the 3rd time he asked! After that first date I knew I was going to marry him and he proposed 2 years later!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He is so kind, caring and just the most gorgeous person inside and out

Who proposed and how?

James proposed in Mallorca, watching the sunset with a bottle of rosé and it was a complete surprise. We went for a walk to a spot I used to walk with my grandma when I was little when we went on holiday and it felt so special that he did it at a place that meant so much to me.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

The Archie was the first dress I fell in love with when I sat in on Instagram and knew I had to try it. I went down to the made with love showroom in London and tried so many of the beautiful styles on but knew Archie was the one. I then went into the Aisle in Ilkley and said yes to the dress!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The best moment at the wedding was the ceremony as it was outside and I felt the happiest I have ever been…closely followed by the party which went on until 3am and I loved every single second

What were your favourite details?

Before the wedding my husband and I wrote letters to each other which during the ceremony were placed into a box of red wine and me, my husband, my bridesmaids and his groomsmen all placed a nail in the box to open on our 10th wedding anniversary. I would also say being able to get ready with not only my bridesmaids but all of my best friends, which we have always done for every event growing up. Also my mum walking me down the aisle was so special as she has brought be up by herself and my best friend.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Just enjoy every single second, take it all in and don’t get drunk until the party…you want to remember it!!

Any standout vendors?

Our beautiful photographer and videographers were just incredible…the caterers were incredible and the food was absolutely perfect! The whole team on the day were amazing.
