Anna + Chris

How did you meet?

Chris and I met through a mutual friend at a local bar. It was a really fun night and although we can’t remember many of the details of the time in the bar the most memorable part was on the way home when Chris bought me a plastic rose from a street seller. When I look back it was funny and romantic and set the tone of our relationship from that night onwards.

When did you know they were the one?

The very first night we met I felt that “instant spark”. I can’t describe why but I just knew in my gut that he would be my person forever.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Chris is kind, handsome and makes me feel loved.

Who proposed and how?

Chris proposed whilst we were on holiday in the French Alps. I ski and Chris snowboards and it turns out that he made a number of attempts to propose on the slopes whilst strapping in to his board but I kept skiing off! Eventually we were alone on a chairlift and he was able to propose without me disappearing down the mountain. We’d been together for X years and I was so excited that my response was “finally!” We phoned our families back home from that chairlift to share the news.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I visited Ivory Grace in Aberdeen to try on wedding dresses. Made with Love was actually the only designer I selected dresses from and I really liked them all. However when I tried on “the dress” it instantly felt like me as a bride, not just me dressing up as a bride. I especially love the coordinated embroidered veil and back detailing.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

I most enjoyed walking through the historic streets of Rome with my new husband during our photography session. Our photographer was amazing and we both felt so comfortable with her that we could really enjoy being together in a beautiful city and capturing the feeling of the day.
