How did you meet?

‘Met in Mykonos, caught up in Barcelona, fell in love in Melbourne, engaged in Santorini and married in South Melbourne’- is our little cheesy saying!

I met my husband back in 2014 in Greece while we were both backpacking around Europe.

When did you know they were the one?

He was my greatest souvenir of my 2014 Euro trip! My husband was romantic and thoughtful right from the start. He even drove an 8hr round trip (without me knowing) just to visit my parents and ask them for my hand in marriage! #melt

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His intelligence, kindness, and his luscious chest hair- haha!

Who proposed and how?

In 2019 we decided to holiday back to where it all started, Greece. My husband is Greek Australian, and has relatives in Greece. While we were in Santorini, I was under the impression that my husband had organised for us to meet up with his cousins for dinner. To my absolute surprise, we instead arrived to a stunning private beach with a beautiful table for two set up on the sand. My husband got down on one knee and popped the question. I was so overwhelmed with emotion, I was saying ‘yes’ before he even asked me!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

It was Louie at first sight when I walked into the MWL Melbourne, Australia Boutique! I loved the soft feminine petal like pattern. I had been eyeing off the MWL range for awhile and just knew she was the one!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Planning a wedding in the middle of a global pandemic and having to postpone the original wedding date was stressful to say the least! The best moment for me was seeing everything finally come together on the day. It was so important to us to have all our loved ones there.

What were your favourite details?

The Greek traditions incorporated into our wedding was definitely one of the highlights! The dancing, the shots off the floor and the ceremony. We were graced with such amazing weather, which made our city roof top venue perfect for the occasion. The speeches from our nearest and dearest were also very touching- a day we will treasure forever.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Before my husband and I started our wedding planning we each wrote down our top 5 aspects of our wedding day that was essential to us. It was nice to refer back to our list to keep us grounded and to be reminded of what is most important to us as a couple during the planning process.

Any standout vendors?

Vicki’s Cakes Melbourne- Vicki created the most perfect wedding cake. It was exactly what we imagined and more. She is the Queen of all things cake!
Three Foxes- Foxtails- For our bomboniere we organised our very own personalised cocktail bottles. They were such a hit with our guests!
Como Alterations, South Yarra- this was MWL Bridal recommendation- and they didn’t disappoint! Nikki completed my dress alterations- she was amazing and SO patient!
