Abbie + Cebastian
How did you meet?
We were young high school sweethearts! Ceb and I met at a backyard party, it was late at night and almost time to go home when we locked eyes, the following months we became inseparable and it has been love ever since.
When did you know they were the one?
Ceb gave me this warm fuzzy feeling, I got butterflies every time I saw him and felt safe in his arms. It didn’t take long to know he was the one, we made it official this year with our wedding but it has been 10 years of love!
What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?
His smile that lights up the room
His eyes that tell a story of strength, love and warmth
His kind and loving heart that welcomes everyone he meets and the way he cares so deeply for each and everyone of his patients ( nurse 🙂 )
Who proposed and how?
We went on a holiday to Vanuatu just before Covid hit, one morning Ceb had planned a kayaking trip on a remote island. The wind was strong and the waves were so choppy but Ceb was so persistent that we go for the kayak, he handed me a back pack which I thought was full of snacks and our camera and he insisted I hold it above my head as water came in while he kayaked us across to the island. Once we arrived we set up a picnic and he absolutely shocked me with surprise when he proposed.
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
Sydney MWL, the minute I saw the Harlow online I was in-love with it, as soon as I put it on it fit my body and shape so perfectly. I felt so comfortable and knew it was the perfect dress for me.
What was the best moment for you at your wedding?
Walking down the aisle with my dad while the rain fell on us, we decided we didn’t need umbrellas as I wanted to just enjoy every moment. The moment I saw my husband standing at the end of the aisle I knew that nothing else mattered and I was marrying the love of my life.
What were your favourite details?
My dress and how comfortable and easy it was to wear and all the compliments I received from our guest, also having our gorgeous little puppy Daisy present at the wedding, she walked down the aisle with so much confidence and it would not have been the same without her.
What advice would you tell other brides?
Don’t stress! Everything comes together on your day, trust your vendors they know what they are doing and will make sure your day flows perfectly. Don’t stress about the weather, it ended up raining 80% of our wedding and I honestly would not change a thing, it was perfect.
Any standout vendors?
Our absolutely incredible photographer Fox and Kin – she is the most easy going, caring and fun person to be around & our florist Paper Leaf Press – working with me to create the most beautiful set up and ensuring everything was perfect.
